The following are posters from All Posters, a site that features posters and has an affiliate program, as do many sites.  You feature the images on your site, provide a click-through link to the site selling the images, and you get a commission for each sale.  Many members of different Web communities use this technique to increase both traffic and sales, and while it may not generate much in the way of sales, it does help to promote the linking of related sites and increased awareness of these sites.  (For example, I have had this link up for about 4 years on the Do You Look Like Your Dog site, and each month I have gotten an affiliates report showing about 40-50 click-throughs a month -- but none of them have generated any sales -- just traffic from my site to theirs.  But if you click the link, you may find your way to that poster for sale on their site if you they are still selling that poster.)
